Trees are often called “living legacies” - because once planted and established, they live a long time and signify life, growth, and renewal of the earth’s natural resources.
The Humboldt County Hospice Foundation Living Legacy Tree Program offers an opportunity to honor loved ones, living and passed, by donating trees to be planted in Humboldt County's parks. Trees serve as a long-lasting, living remembrance that will benefit the community for many years to come!
· Memorialize a loved one in a meaningful way
· Honor the accomplishments of an individual or group
· Commemorate a birthday, anniversary or special event
Trees, usually 6-10 feet tall, will be planted in the fall to ensure the best chance of survival. Trees are unsigned, but after planting, you may locate your tree using the tree location link shown below. The exact tree location will be chosen by park employees, but you may request a park location and preferred tree variety from the lists indicated below. You may also add an obituary link for your loved one to be displayed on the page. Park kiosks will encourage visitors to find memorial trees.
Your donation will help support Hospice and Humboldt County parks. Current donation price per tree is $400.
