Email, Text Message Surveying Offers Easier Feedback Platform for Patients
Email, Text Message Surveying Offers Easier Feedback Platform for Patients
Effective January 2019, patients in our hospital outpatient areas and our emergency department may begin receiving Press Ganey surveys via text message or email. We believe this process change will provide an easier way for our patients to share meaningful feedback with us.
The feedback we receive from the people in our care means so much, and we want to make sharing it with us easier than ever.
Who is impacted?
Hospital Outpatient Departments and Emergency Department
What is changing?
Patients seen in hospital outpatient areas, emergency department, along with some home health care patients will now receive their Press Ganey survey either by text or email – provided we have this information on file for them.
When will the change occur?
There was a pause in surveying from January 1 to late-January to set up the technical changes for electronic surveying. On January 28, 2019, surveying will resume for our patients discharged after December 31, 2018, and e-surveying will continue routinely going forward. Patients who receive text messages or email, will receive them one day after being discharged.
We want to hear from our patients!
Our staff wants our patients to feel confident about providing feedback via text or email. This is a safe, valid and secure survey that will help us know what we're doing well and what we can do better.
